Parc Asterix is a theme amusement park in France, based on the stories of Asterix by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny and was opened in 1989. Parc Asterix is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and has rides and themes from historic cultures such as the ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire.
Parc Asterix is situated approximately 35km north of Paris in Plailly in the department of Oise and even has its own exit off the A16 motorway. But there are also shuttle services in operation from Charles de Gaul airport.
Asterix and Obelix are two very popular cartoon characters in France. If your child is one of the fans, try to get them to Parc Asterix while on vacation to France. Parc Asterix is a second world-class theme park in France after Disneyland Paris. Even so, you and the kids will get the pleasure that is no less fun.

Shops at Parc Asterix:
You can get Asterix souvenirs in all shapes and sizes, from t-shirts and mugs to helmets and swords. There are stalls and boutiques all over the park, so you can get what eve r you want. If you are looking for other gifts and souvenirs, there are some wonderful shops selling Egyptian, Roman and Greek themed ornaments, crafts and clothes.
In this area of Parc Asterix, the most valiant Zeus will face the clouds! On land, the dolphins offer a sublime ballet aquatix whilst young and old will embark on Ellis River. Attractions include: Birth of galeo, compete with the gods, the Russian mountain, voyage to the gods and many more.
Facilities for the disabled: Facilities for disabled visitors include wheelchair rental 20 Euros deposit, disabled parking, and easy access to attractions and disabled toilets.
To go to Parc Asterix, you can use the buses that depart from Charles de Gaulle Airport every 30 minutes, 9:30 to 13:30 local time. Parc Asterix is open daily. The entrance fee is charged 39 Euros for adults and children aged 3-11 years old 29 Euros.
